So you want to buy a pet, but still unsure what to get -here some help on that.
- Cats. Except when they want feeding cats are quiet animals. Well groomed and dont need taking out for walks like dogs. Their nocturnal animals so they only really come to life at night, going out to bring you back live mice as a present bless ‘em. Cats will cost alittle less than a dog because cats dont require the training that a dog has, but thats only alittle less.
- Dogs. Do they deserve the title ‘mans best friend’? A dog requires being taken for a walk every day, if not every other day, which can be great exercise for both dog and owner. Dogs can be very loyal creatures but will need some training.
- Rodents. Rodents. These guys usually live for about a year and a half, though some have gone on for longer. Make sure you get the right cage size -a mice can squeeze through some bars and rats need enough room. Remember a wheel for exercise, but replace it if it starts squeaking so your not kept up all night.
- Guinea pigs and Rabbits. Be prepared to chase them around the garden to get them back in their hutch, they can move quicker than you think. You’ll need a hutch for them to stay in and a run or garden for them to have a runaround in. Remember to throw in some fresh carrots/ lettuce for them to go with thier feed, and hutches should be moved into a warmer room in the winter to make sure they dont freeze.
- Snakes. A snake can be very costly given the accommodation they need, they equipment to control the temperature and mice for them to eat. A snake’s price can be very exspensive depending on the size of them.
- Spiders. A spider will require a container to keep it in (with breathing holes!) a steady supply of bugs to be eaten and a spouse that wont panic when they escape.
