Pet Gates in High Demand Creates Consequences

It seems that there is an un-ending demand for quality pet gates. The accordion style pet gates of the past just won’t cut it in today’s homes. Pet owners want sturdy gates and they want these gates to look good in their homes.

The pet gate companies that understand this, and that have delivered products that meet these needs, are seeing significant growth. Pet gates that have been manufacturer from solid steel or aluminum, and provide a pleasing design, are moving to the top of the demand list.

A second factor that is driving this growth is the fact that people need wider gates than in the past. The most popular gates of today are in the 50 to 85 inch width categories. In order for gate to be effective at these widths, they need to be of solid construction.

Also, because the width demands are all over the map, the pet gates need to be flexible in design. In other words, these gates need to extendable, without losing their strength.

The quality gates of today are designed to allow for extensions on either end of the gate, while retaining the ability for the center component to swing open and close.

What I have been experiencing as a pet gate store owner, is that the quality manufacturers are finding it quite hard to keep up with the demand, even in these difficult economic times.

The most popular gates are often out of stock for three to five days, before another shipment arrives. This is unfortunate for customers who would like rapid delivery, but if you want these top demand gates, then unfortunately you may need to wait a week or two for delivery.

I don’t want to make this sound bleak, as probably 80% of the time, the gates are in stock. It’s just a matter of what the inventory looks like at the time of your order.

This phenomenon isn’t just happening at one manufacturer’s shop, it’s happening to all of the quality manufacturers.

My only advice would be that if your order gets delayed, have patience, because these gates are worth the wait.
