I need to use it to keep my dog in the kitchen every time I step out. I’d prefer something under if possible.

Walmart has a great pet/child gate in their infants department. About $30. It’s an expandable hard chew resistant plastic that locks securely in place with plastic pads and a push in place lever. It locks so securely a dog can even jump against it and it holds. It also comes with "U" shaped extra strong secure plates that you can screw into your wall but you don’t need them. This gate is way better than the other expandable wooden ones. The pit boss show has one I saw on their last episode that they use in their office to separate the office from the dogs.
Go to Petsmart, they have a good selection there, I believe I got mine for $30 and it is tall enough to keep my dalmatian out of certain rooms
Baby gates – shop places like Walmart or check online for garage sales or ppl selling them cheaply.
yes there is a dog gate that slides open and goes in a slot of any opening
There are tons! There is a gate called the Super Gate III. It is at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. It is around $20.

If you go to the Petsmart site and go to the dog, then gates and doors section you’ll find a bunch. Or just check your local pet stores – some toy/baby stores will have them too. If you have a POWERFUL dog then be warned – a determined large dog can topple and damage non-mounted gates (and the walls.)
We got 4 baby gates from Goodwill for $12 total. If your dog is larger you may want something taller or if you prefer not to have to step over them all the time, but they’ve worked great for my 18lb dog.
yeah, a baby gate!!! my brother has one in his house- i think it’s the first step one. it is wooden, with the wire mesh so you can see through. it is adjustable- there is a lever in the middle that has measurements on it. you put it in the doorway, totally closed- i think it’s about 20 inches. it’s about 3 feet tall, he’s got a german sheperd, he needs it. it opens to at least 40. anyway, you measure the doorway, and open the clip to set at that length, open it to that length, and it locks in place. you make it snug with the doorway so that the dog can’t push it over… works like a dream!
if u have a small to medium sized dog then just get a baby gate. they’re easy to use and not overly expensive.
Go to walmart and get a baby gate. We have one that fits in the doorway snugly (without having to drill) but has a hinge so it opens up with a press of a button. That way you don’t have to step over it all the time. Most baby gates are like that now.

I can’t remember how much we paid for ours, I’m pretty sure it was around $50 and it’s very heavy duty because we use it when our niece comes over and we need it to be very secure for her safety.
get a baby gate. Theyre like 10 bucks, movable, light, plastic, and adjustable

Go to a hardware store, in Australia called Bunnings. There is a gate for babies to keep them in one place. It is also useful for dog. You only need to turn the knob to fit it to the wall. It is not that expensive. If you got the time go to ebay and search for one.
I recommend checking out http://www.walkthroughpetgate.com to find a great selection and wide variety of pet gates suitable for you and your dogs needs. There is buyers guide, many reviews and articles to help you find what your looking for.
