Animal Kingdom Pet Store forgets to feed their dogs

This item was filled under [ Pet Articles ]

This was filmed Sunday February 21, 2010 at the Animal Kingdom Pet Store at the Superstition Springs Mall. One window display had no food in the dog dish and the store closed at 6pm. This was filmed 30 minutes later. They won’t open up again until the next morning. So these dogs will go about 15 hours without food in addition to how long it has been since they were fed the last time. In the larger window display the dogs did have food but it was buried under their own urine paper. The food dish was in the same area that the yellow paper was. The food dish needs to be accessible and away from urine and feces. What is the saddest off all is this is the window display for Animal Kingdom. In other words this is what they want to portray as the best of their best. How are the other pets treated in the cages in back? Pet stores get their pets from puppy and kitty mills. These businesses mostly located in the midwest run large factory like facilities in which the dogs and cats spend their entire life in cages for the sole purpose of mass producing pets. They receive little or no vetrinary care. Just google puppy mill or kitty mill to learn more. Never buy a pet from a pet store. You can get puppies and kittens at the shelter. You can even get purebreds from rescue agencies. Do the research. If you want a particular breed go to www.petfinder.com and you can find a dog or a cat of either sex and just about any breed. Here is a good playlist on puppymills http That is from the

The thing is they have done this many times. I go to this mall all the time to use their wifi. The store closes at 6pm on Sundays and the lights were all out and the doors were closed. I waited until everyone left to film this. Sadly this happens every night I go there which is usually once or twice a week.

Dude I go to the mall and they have the poor things sitting on wire with a hard matt to sit on. They have water bottles that are the size for a hamster and some of the little ones can’t reach it. It’s truly disgusting, and thanks so much for posting this.

Have you ever done anything to help these poor puppies? Like ask a manager about their lack of food?

you cant speak for all pet stores saying we get puppies from mills…ive been at a pet store for 4 years now and the only way we get our animals is from local familys that happen to have a litter of dogs or cats on accident and we take them in (pure bred or mix) instead of having the owners take the litter to the pound or if someone cant keep a puppy we take em to the vet and get em checked up and get em their 1st shots and dewormed and make sure they feel ok.we HATE puppy mills! No need at all

    ummm 15hr with out food???
Look SuperVlogger I understand & can see you have become a victim to the current obesity epidemic, but you are aware they are dogs in here, not cows, rabbits or other such grazing animals. Dog just like humans don’t need to constantly graze on food. for puppies 2 meals a day if just fine. 15 hrs between meals is not even a issue. but SuperVlogger can see from your fat ass how this would upset you, as you look like the type that chews in his sleep.

@543logic Go fuck yourself with a broom until you bleed internally from a punctured rectum. Animals need access to food and water and to deny them this in inhumane. Sure the dogs will get through the night but would you like to be locked up for 15 hours like this?

    PuppyMills, google it.
