@TheMadMiniMovies Claiming Madonna needs to discuss GaGa asserts that she is not relevant, this is incorrect. Madonna has only taken a musical break within the last two years, before that she had one of the most successful tours ever and number one singles and she is still smack in the zeitgeist of pop culture only after winning a prestigous award. Also, she is not herself bringing up GaGa in conversation, it’s the interviewers so really it’s the media to blame for trying to force a fight

I’m just wondering cos Madonna had the top grossing tour EVER for a solo artist in 2009 (and not 1980)… Plus, anytime u talk about Gaga, u have to ask yourself where gaga will be in 30 years time. For what I see Gaga now, after 3 years, is not doing well in the charts as much as Adele or even katy perry and rihanna. When Madonna put out her third album ‘True Blue’ she killed the female competition.

They seem to talk about themselves their their fame and glory more than they focus on making great music. Gaga spend an hour on stage talking about her problems, fame and glory.
Madonna talks alot too. She talks about all of America is just waiting with baited breath to hear her music. She thinks that no one in this country has a life or interests outside of her.
They have alot in common. They huge over-inflated egos.

@ladyFRAUDga 1st, ur puns are weak, marry the flop, really? 2nd when ur the only person doin something then its easy to be considered the best. Gaga competes with other amazing artist to hold onto the rank that she has where as Madonna had little to kno competition, her competition was U2 and Michael Jackson, not Adele, Katy Perry, Jessie J, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and many other extremely talented performers. Less competition=More success.
I seem to recall that Madonna had some very clear influences too which she has admitted. So saying that Gaga copies her is the pot calling the kettle black. She is just ultracompetitive and she doesn’t know how to soften her personality. And Madonna had a few important advantages early on, such as MTV, which was a national radio station, as well as songwriters who helped her, which she was always loath to admit. It would have been more honest if she just said that every star is influenced.
Incidentally the comparison ends when they start to sing. Gaga can blow an audience away. And timing is everything. Put Madonna in the 70s and she would struggle. Today she would be successful but not on the same scale. But she was perfect for the 80s. Gaga would not do as well in the 80s, but she’s perfect for the internet/twitter age.
Madonna was fucking flying in her time and still is now. People started to hate her especially her fans and turned against her when she was in her erotica era back in 1992, i mean she was going way over the limit she released a self titled book called ”Sex” released an album called erotica too much sexual content critcs said she had gone too far and her career was over that took a troll on her career but as of now she is the best selling female artist of all time and that is a fact.

Madonna’s competition were legendary acts such as MJ, Janet, U2, Cyndi Lauper, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Alanis Morrisset (she signed on Madonna’s record label), Nirvana, Tears for fears, Men At Work, Christina Aguilera, Desnity’s Child, Gwen Stefani, Whitney Houston, Spice Girls, Céline Dion, etc!
SHITga’s competition: The Black Eyed Peas, Rihanna, Justin Beiber, Katy Perry and LMFAO. And they ALL have more number ones then her LMAO!
