How To Train Your Dog: Advanced Targeting/Head Movement
TOO EASY? TRY THIS! This tutorial is for those trainers who have worked up a good repertoire of behaviors with their dogs. If you want to make this even more challenging, I highly recommend adding MORE behaviors to the chain demonstrated in this video. Here is a sample chain of behaviors I would suggest: Hold it….Drop it….Target…Down….Stand….Down…Target….Watch me…Sit….Hold it…Bring it…Drop it…Watch me….Sit. If you can complete the above chain perfectly (giving each cue only once), you are demonstrating an INCREDIBLE connection with your dog and an extremely solid understanding of cues. Good job! I would love to see a video of someone demonstrating this chain. Please post it as a video response when you complete it! Another awesome training video Tab! Have been looking forward to seeing what Dolea can do next. Beautiful dog.
Sorry! “Solea”**
@tab289 As far as puppy training is concerned, there’ s a situation that troubles me a lot: my 14-week-old pomeranian puppy likes to chew electrical wires… She has done it 3-4 times since we got her, 3 weeks before. Of course we try not to have anything dangerous exposed, but we use mobile phones and laptop chargers all the time so…
@pichita2277 …it happens to forget them at easy-to-access points. I know you believe that the best punishment is to ignore the dog, but I don’t think that in this case will work. I’m worrying about her safety…
@pichita2277 Until your dog fully understand all the rules of your house, I strongly believe they need to be kept on a leash or properly supervised. Prevention is the secret to a well-behaved dog.
How did you become a dog trainer? Did you go to school? What kind of school did you go to? I work with my dogs a lot and love it. I learned by reading books and watching videos like this. I could see my self as a dog trainer. I would like to learn more and was wondering how you did it.
@DoodlesCatters You might want to check out my supernaturalbc2008 channel for a two way alert, which is what you are training when you send the dog for someone and bring them back. It’s a channel to help train assistance dogs.
Another great tutorial, building on previous skills!

very cool!!!
@tab289 I truly appreciate it you took the time to answer
The truth is that I have a million questions and, because I know you can’t aswer all of them due to lack of time, why don’t you make a video with “safety rules”? You know, how to teach your dog to stop when you judge (s)he is in danger/ not to chew wires/ not to eat food that isn’t given from you etc? I think that a lot of people will find answers in this kind of video. Thank you in advance!
@josski32 Thank you!
