In no way do I condone pestering a dog in order to make them offer calming signals for you to see. Calming signals can be offered when you are standing or sitting, I was very close to Splash at one point in this video because it was hard to fit us in the video screen, and Splash is very comfortable with me being that close to her face. Dogs don’t like being patted on the head The best place to touch a dog is on the shoulders or chest.
Very nice! I’ve been able to communicate with multiple animals, including wild birds foxes the occaisional cat, and many other species. I’m relieved that my dogs will finally understand me!

We used this on our 2 little 12 week puppies (our babies) as soon as they woke cause we hade a bath time melt down today … and also put their leshes on to have them walk around freely! One made it through both … but the other didn’t …
Infact, he was not paying much attention to me …. I did the yawn…lip lick…eye blink etc and it was amazing how he reconntected with me !!!!! Or should I say .. I reconnected with him

you said all these signs are to calm themselves or the other dogs. THen why would they do that when they dont want the other dogs to bother them? So when they do that to us means they dont want to bother them?

Also could it be that your dog would get use to getting kissed on the head and stuff? I’ve had him since he was 3 months old and he’s 3 years old now. He always likes to kiss my face so I thought it was okay if he was calm…

if you notice cats and dogs have similar body languages when both yawn and lick their lips and do soft blinks it means they are content when they turn away from u or other pets it means “i mean you no harm” and when both are on their backs its a submissive posture

Im surprised at the people saying this is rubish. How do dose people think animals comunicate? Kiko pup has done her homework. It is known that parts of the brain can not distiguish between a first person action, the memory of the action, or some one else doing that action. The British are actually leading on that area of reserach.
@dalemk90 I have a question for you. Why do you think pornography is such a popular product? Why do seeing other people having sex elicits such a stron response in a lot of peaple, most of which won’t admit to it. If in humans, seen an act triggers a release of hormonal enzymes, in this example seeing pornography, why would you think that nature didn’t build this mechanism in other social animals? Do you really think that animals don’t have the ability to communicate? If you, thats a joke.
