MAX – Rescued “Pet” Bobcat…
Max the bobcat kitten was at the center of a months-long legal battle that touched off after a Rhode Island vet seized him from someone who bought him from a backyard breeder… It is illegal to have bobcats as pets in Rhode Island. The cat’s owner went to court to get the cat back, but the state won. Now Max will live at Big Cat Rescue for the rest of his life! We’re so glad we could step in and offer Max a permanent home, if you want to help put an end to the trade in wild animals as so called “pets” please visit this site to help give them a voice: bigcatrescue.org Read about the rescue of Max here: bigcatrescue.org For more info about BIG CAT RESCUE visit: www.bigcatrescue.org Find us on FACEBOOK www.facebook.com MYSPACE: www.myspace.com TWITTER: twitter.com DONATE: www.bigcatrescue.org THANK YOU!

What a funny cat xD I love bobcats, big cats in general actually, and I love what you guys do!
@Leafclan99 Hope I was of some help.Animal names can get horrendously confusing, for example:the Northern Pike, terror of the Great Lakes,is apparently referred to as a”Jackfish”in Canada, have also heard of people calling them a Pickerel, which is actually a less voracious cousin. Is a Bobcat a Lynx and visa versa,B.C.R.would have the genuine dope on that. For my money,I restate they are related but slightly different(coat color, etc. . .).
He sure loves the camera!
Aw he’s so cute
I did a project in science on the lynx and found that bobcats are their cousin! They have similar behaviors, too
AND HIS PAWS ARE SO FLUFFY!!!
I love you guys and MAX!)
what – a – cat! cattitude!
Jesus!! these TSA people really are braindead. You should have let them pat him down.
This video makes me happy.
very preety
Awww…. Max is awesome
Seems like he has a lot of wild spirit still in him.
I really admire what BCR is doing. You guys are doing something worthy, and hopefully you can help ensure that generations to come will still know what these animals really look, and behave like. Thanks.
@BigCatRescue i told every one i know to sub and i commented on some vids saying that peps need to sub all for the cats but mainley 4 the tigers
what a beauty. sweet story. wish they were all this lucky. good job girls.
So previous owner was bad or state just take him because “you cant have it”?
@BigCatRescue That’s sad! But it never hurts to ask I suppose! I’m so glad Max is with you guys! He is way better off!
Although cute when it was little, you wonder why the owner wouldn’t consider how difficult it would be to take care of a wild 40 lbs. bobcat.
did you ever hear of a liger they are a tiger and a lion mixed they are realy i just was watchen it on tv they are realy cool but the sad thing is hat theyend up haveing lots of problems because of there un-normaly larg size but they are something to see
He is so hyper I just love it!
that blue/red airplane was so cool!
I’m glad Max has a new home, but since he was raised in someone’s home as their pet, isn’t he missing the interaction and attention from people? I hope he’s not lonely.
Wouldn’t it be better if you release him in the wild? He is a wild cat with lots of energy and in Florida where a lot of bob cats live.
what a beatiful and amazing animal you people do great things
This is a great story, if I could I’d donate to the BCR. I’m afraid I don’t have much money to donate, and I’m young living with my parents who don’t really like the idea of donating to rescues like this as much as I do.
I’m from Naples, Florida and I have always had a passion for animals, especially reptiles. I hope to one day be a big impact in animal rescues just like this. The least I can do is say is that this is ridiculously awesome and keep up the amazing job. ^_^
So who are the lucky felines that get to be Max’s neighbors?
Have you ever considered putting some fish in the ponds for enrichment?
