He smelled him in the house and then ran outside to greet him. We’ve taught Emmitt never to jump on anyone and we don’t let him stand on our shoulders because it’s bad for his hips, so this is quite out of character for him. He almost seems like he’s in shock as he’s not crying, barking, or even licking! Just holding onto Trevor and staring him in the eyes as if he can’t believe he’s back. Dogs are awesome

I don’t always agree with the reasons our men and women put their life on the line. But I do appreciate their willingness to protect the people and what they feel is right. Soldiers don’t always like the orders they’re given and they often know they aren’t given the REAL reason why they’re putting their life on the line. But they honor us by being willing to put themselves into harms way to keep us safe as best they can.
