When will my cat have her kittens… 2nd time posting…?
Okay so i am sick and tired of getting rude comments i just want a legitimate answer.. And yes i plan on having my cat spayed as soon as she has them…
So my cat got pregnant either the second or third week of may… I am not sure of the exact date… So i know that she is going to go into labor soon… some of the things she is doing are:
Sleeping constantly
Grooming herself but not nessicarilly in the vaginal area
She still has an appetite but not as much
She is constantly following my boyfriend around when he is home
She seems to start walking and gets exhausted easily
Also we think she is going to have them in our closet so we have a little space set up for her in there… she doesnt nessicarilly stay in there alot… but she is always sleeping on my bathroom rugs… which is like 10 feet away from my closet… She still goes outside a little bit but not as much… i dont know if that is cause she doesnt want to go far or if it is just too hot out for her… I just want to know when to expect the little ones… i have the closet and bathroom blocked off with baby gates so my daughter and dog dont bug her… is there anything else i should be doing… also half the time she wants to be pet and then the other half she gets all sorts of pissy… also when she is laying on her side he back legs with twitch… is going to happen soon….
Please no rudeness… i am sick of it.,.. if you dont have an actual answer to the question then dont bother… i am trying to help my kitty and some of you dont help…

I will try to be of help to you,so with the estimate of mating dates then expect kittens at the or around the following dates a cats pregnancy lasts 9 weeks, but just as with humans can be born early or late,
1st week).1st May—————–11July
2nd week).14th May—————16th July
3rd week).21st May—————25th July
cats do sleep more than usual when a birth is near as they feel tired,as for grooming they do groom a lot, but not always at the vaginal area, but they lick the nipples to make sure all is clean and ready for the birth as they are very particular, but do lick the back end days before,
they also lose the appetite this usually happens during the last week of the pregnancy, they nibble but seem unsure if they really are hungry, following about is also very typical of cats who are about to have their kittens they become very affectionate more than is usual for them, they are at times clingy,
when you say walking and tired is it a few paces or walk from one end of a room to another? more details about that would help, and other clues of a cat close to birth are as follows,
1).Produce her first milk this is known as colostrum,it appears around 2-4 days before and is noticeable,it looks like dried powder on the nipples so keep an eye out for it as its a big clue.
2).Lose her mucus plug, this is a gooey mess that she will lick at,it looks stringy and stretchy, not long after her waters will break, this either dribble out or comes out in one go in a sack that bursts,so its very noticable.
3).She will become very restless and pace about, often with panting and meowing, this is a sign of labour has begun, but cats can get a touch of diorheoa too during mild contractions.
4).check her tummy as you should be able to see the kittens wriggling and moving they do this days before the birth, its them turning over in the womb for the birth itself.
5).Going to the nest frequently such as going in for moments then coming out again, and each time she will spend more time in the nest, cats often prefer to choos a nest of themselves so encouradge her to use it.
6).Random meowing and getting very restless she will be resting one moment then getting up to lick her back end the next, also the vaginal area protrudes and swells near the end when its all about to happen so have a look if she will let you.
7).They do like affection one moment then are grouchy the next, she is uncomfortable so its understandable,so look for any movements of the kittens and to see if her tummy is contracting, its easy to see when she is laying down.
8).When her waters and things have broken then the first kitten should arrive within the hour, and labour can go on for a few hours anything from 12 hours to up to 24 hours, even a bit longer as a cats labour can pause before restarting again.
please try to keep her in you dont want her giving birth outside alone, but she is reluctant to go now so she knows its close, yand our idea with the safety gate sounds ideal, but cover it with a blanket so she has privacy but leave a gap so she can come in and out easily,as she will want privacy without the dog peeping at her or your daughter,as they will both be curious and the cat wont like that, they are fussy mothers so once born give her privacy especially the first few days,
not sure if i have been of help to you but i used to foster pregenant cats, and have seen 500+ being born not all at once of course,so have seen it all before your cats sound like she is in her last week to me by her behaviour, here is a link about the pregnancy and birth it may help you further,

Gestation for a cat is 63 days ( give or take a day or two.)
Most of the time, 24 hrs prior to labor a cat will start hiding out, nesting, go off food and water and her temp will drop a degree or two ( normal cat’s temp) is 102.0 degree’s F. You can take her temp. rectally every day and get an idea on when she could poss. go into labor.
Not all animals follow the book, so keeping an eye on her.
Also, some animals don’t like to have an audience when going into labor, so she may hide out and hide very well. When she does go into labor, keep an eye on her by peaking in to make sure everything is going well, but if she seems nervous with your presence, then leave her alone and only peak in on her occ.
If you notice any problems at all, get her to the vet.
It takes 2-3 months for a cat to have it’s babies, also your cat might just be in heat so dont let her go outside or else she will have babies.
