pet problems need help immediatly!?
Hello my name is zoe and i have a dog called ben and he is 13 years old, he was rescued in June 2010 as my birthday present. i have had him over a year now. i might have to get rid of him because we take him for a walk in the morning and evening, he doesn’t do a poo or wee but as soon as he gets home he pees or poos in his basket on the floor in the living room on the rug, so i thought after every walk i should tie him up with the extending lead so he can do his business outside.
that method lasted until November December time. but now its got worse he goes for a walk comes back gets tied up does no business runs indoors pees in his bed roles in it i have to wash him give him new bedding he does a poo in the kitchen etc. we have a child gate which blocks him out of the living room because my parents are sick and tired of clearing up his mess. we always have the back door open so if he needs to do some business he can go outside but he decides not too. if i don’t get an answer in time i wont have ben.
here is some more info which might help you give me a good answer : ben is a small yorkshire terrier
he is part blind and part deaf.
he wont go outside if its cold or raining
he doesn’t like people picking him up, he will bite if you do.
because his past life was really bad the old owner gave him scraps all the time which gave ben and extra bone which stops him pooing but we went to the vets about that so we give ben a bit of milk every other day
hope you can help me x
thanks x

keep him outside till he does pee and poo. what do you feed him ? When do you feed him in the morning? Do you walk him in the morning before or after he eats? I would let him have the milk after he does his business outside. He is almost at lifes end. So, you still maybe able to take him to a spot where he does know which he should have a spot or areas already.. He can still smell right? If his nose still works then he knows where to go. If he does not go, then he does not come in the house. Very simple.
I have a older dog as well, and have to get her outside all the time to do her thing, otherwise she will not care to go outside.
