Me and my fiance live in a one bedroom house and we both work full time (9-5 monday to friday). We really want to get a shitzu dog but is it too cruel as we would hav to leave it downstairs when we went to work and get a baby gate for the stairs so it doesn’t go and chew everything up.
I would take her for walks every day in the morning and evening but also, how do you house train a pet?
Any feedback would be great, thanks x

Well it would be hard on the puppy to be left alone for so long.& if you get a part-time pet it can be a bit expensive. But if your willing to bring it for walks morning & evening it should be ok. & a puppy is like a child it picks up its routine fairly good but just dont keep changing this or bad behaviour will start!

I think that you shouldn’t get a puppy if that’s the case. Puppies need a lot of attention. If you don’t give it attetion, it might turn cruel to you when it will be an adult dog.

Well.you can get a part time pet.
There will be a dog trainer to help care for it.
