Do I hear Beatles in the Beach Boys or the Beach Boys in the Beatles? Hmmmmmmmmm . . . . …

@probrojeffro doesn’t really sound like the Beatles at all.

@lpycb42 rock/pop music was never as good as when Brian Wilson and Paul McCartney were trying to outdo each other.

Paul heard this album at Brians house ( at one of Carnies B-day parties) and said it was so good it brought tears to his eyes, after all these years, it still does that to me

Mumford and Sons does not deserve to be mentioned alongside an era, a band, a song of this caliber. They are merely riding the folk-rock trend like Avett Brothers etc, but maybe they actually develop and evolve like the bands of the 60′s and 70′s

@krasnyploshadagain it’s so tough to debate such classics. I’ll say God Only Knows, but i’m also a beach boys guy.

tht seems like a extremely cliche “music nowadays” statement right there. obviously music isn’t at it’s greatest. but, don’t put the entire new generation down. there’s plenty. PLENTY! of fantastic new artists out there, probably as many as the mediocre artists tht make it.

This is good and all but it can be compared to SGT Peppers – They shouldn’t even be mentioned in the same sentence. They were so obsessed with creating a sound that would have an effect as the Beatles did but didn’t succeed that it caused a rift in the band as well as in their personal lives. Having said all that, Beach Boys are still fun to listen to once in a while.
